There are literally hundreds of tools that will help you integrate technology into your daily practice. Always remember that the tool should not be chosen first, the curriculum should drive the choice. Some other sites that have far more choices than you'll find here are TeachersFirst and CoolTools for Schools. Check them out!

QR Codes

QR codes present a quick way to connect students with material, especially since so many carry camera equipped web enabled devices. This link is to a Prezi I created on the subject. QR codes can be used for a school treasure hunt; to connect books to author sites or websites offering more information. They can expand student projects, provide spoken directions or even direct access to a document in the cloud.

Collaborative Tools

These tools allow groups or entire classes to work together without being in the same room.

On-Line Bulletin Boards

Set up an on-line bulletin board, give it a password and invite your students to post responses to whatever question or topic you choose. Most allow you to set up several groups with different bulletin boards for each.

Creative Projects

From an application that lets you create animated videos by typing text to a virtual interactive poster, there are creative applications for every level.
